I got admission as a Sikh student in minority quota in SGTB Khalsa College. Do I have to study Punjabi every semester or not?

Asked about Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, University of Delhi - B.Sc. in Life Science

I want to know do I have to study Punjabi every semester and not English because our teacher said that she'll teach us Punjabi for first semester only but our exams will be held for all 6 semesters. I just wanted to have English but I can't because I took admission through Sikh minority quota.
