Lovely Professional University (LPU) has a specific policy regarding failed courses, and the requirements for repeating courses and registering for a backlog may vary depending on the specific programme and course in question. Typically, if a student receives an F grade in a course at LPU, they are required to repeat the course in order to earn the necessary credits and pass the course. The student is required to register for the repeat course in the subsequent semester, and they must attend all classes and complete all course requirements in order to pass the course. In some cases, a student may be allowed to register for a backlog co

Yes, you need to register for backlog to pass the subject. There is also a weighted of the attendance in your final marks calculation so by having good percentage of attendance you will have chance to secure marks as well as grasp most of the lecture being taught for that particular subject due to your regularity to attend class.

LPU employs a relative grading scheme, it should be noted. It implies that your grade will be determined by the student who received the best grades at your school. Each grade is granted points. F stands for fail. If you get an F, you must enroll in the backlog. A failing grade, or F grade, is awarded after five attempts, or after five E grades. A backlog course's registration fee equals one-tenth of your semester's total fees (scholarship excluded). Depending on whether the backlog course is available in the following semester or the summer term, you can register for it. To avoid having your subjects conflict, you can adjust your time

F grade which means fail. First of all don't worry about it. If you have scored some marks in your Continuous assessment, mid term and you have few marks in attendance you will just need 21 marks in the exam and the total of all should be 35 which was earlier 40. Now if you didnt scored well in all of them like CA Mid term and you don't have marks in attendance then things might be difficult for you. Then you need to score more in end term I mean the exam which you will give again. Lpu provides you with 5 chances if you get an F gradr and if you didnt clear it in 5 attempts then you will get backlog which surely no one wants and I woul

Hi Devanshu, you just need to for the re-appear exam instead of backlog. Just be positive, prepare well, you will definitely get good marks this time. But be cautious too that you have only 5 chances to clear this course. Good Luck.

Yes, if you got an F grade then you need to register for the backlog. F grade is a fail grade that you get after five reappears that is after five E grades. The cost to register for a backlog course is 1/10th of your total fees per semester (scholarship excluded). You can either register for the backlog course in the summer term or in the next semester subject to the availability of that course in that semester. You can choose your timetable according to your current timetable so that your subjects don't clash. You will get a proper message and notification regarding backlog registration as soon as the portal will open for the registra

One thing that genuinely works in favour of LPU is its scholarship culture, which feels inclusive rather than rare. The university offers multiple scholarship routes, including those based on LPUNEST scores, past academic performance, sports, cultural achievements, or special eligibility categories, which means many students find some level of fee support. I've personally seen classmates walk in with entry-level scholarships and later earn performance-based benefits as they progressed. It creates a motivating environment where effort is noticed and rewarded, and overall, LPU's approach reflects a clear intent to make quality education

The recruiting list at Lovely Professional University is genuinely quite robust and continues to expand annually. The campus is frequently visited by major tech companies including Microsoft, Amazon, Google, IBM, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, Bosch, and HDFC Bank hire from LPU in addition to IT behemoths. The best thing is that placements at LPU feel very inclusive and realistic for students because possibilities aren't restricted to just one field; engineering, management, analytics, design, and more all receive respectable exposure.
