I got low marks in JEE Mains. Should I drop this year or take admission in a local college nearby and prepare for GATE?

If you have the will you should surely drop this year. Join any reputed coaching institute and study throughout the year sincerely. You will surely get into good college In my opinion a college is good not because of its infrastructure,Placement ,Teachers but because of the qualities of student studying there.The surrounding environment also matters for success.Therefore I would highly recommend you to drop the year , Get into a good college, Get in the company of good students and color your future brightly, Good luck

It's totally depends on you. If you have enough confidence that you will crack next year JEE then it's better to drop and prepare yourself for JEE Mains 2017. Otherwise taking admission in local institute will not assure you that you will get a job or not. So it's better to do hard work this year for JEE Mains 2017 to get a good college. Best of Luck :)
