If someone does not get a college of their choice in round one counselling of KCET then he has the option of not taking a seat in that particular round. Though, if you do this, you are locked out of the subsequent rounds of counselling for that current year. If you continue like this then you can reappear for KCET next year, however, you will have to write the exam all over again and go through the counselling sessions again. One should, however, consider his/her options wisely since quitting my may compromise ones chances for the current academic year.

If you are not satisfied with the college you received in the KCET Round 1 counselling, you can choose to quit and participate in the next round. Selecting the option to "quit" will cancel your current seat, allowing you to try for a better college in subsequent rounds. However, if you opt to quit, you cannot return to the previously allotted seat.
