I got to hear that getting 97 percentile in JEE Mains January will not get me a seat for OC category in any NIT's. Is that true?

Hello Vamshidar, Let me explain to you how the percentile is to be understood. I am sure you are knowing it but still I want to explain. Somebody who has got 97 percentile means 3% of the total candidates who appeared for the examination are ahead of him. In case of JEE Mains examination including

Thanks for correction. Yes. There are more than these seats in NIT's. Plus some students will go away to IIT's also.
