I had done BE in civil but my interest is in horticulture field. Can I do M.Sc in horticulture?

M.Sc Horticulture needs pass with 60% aggregate marks in B.Sc. (Agriculture) or B.Sc. (Agriculture) (Hons. ). Or B.Sc. (Horticulture) or B.Sc. (Biotechnology) (Hons. ). (4 years) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. So, it appears that you may not be eligible for M.Sc. Horticulture because in my opinion you do not meet the criteria in your graduation subjects. You can pursue M.Tech in Civil from LPU which has much to offer for MTechs. 4 years agoHi Pankaj, Eligibility criteria for M.Sc. Horticulture is that candidate must be pass with 60% aggregate marks in B.Sc. (Agriculture) or B.Sc. (Agriculture) (Hons. ). Or B.Sc. (Horticulture) or B.Sc. (Biotechnology) (Hons. ). (4 years) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. I am afraid that you won't be able to change your stream and you may not be able to take admission in M.Sc. Horticulture. However, LPU is a first private University to get ICAR approval: Under the aegis of ICAR, LPU offers three programs in horticulture at PG level. These are:

If you have a strong UG degree, you can apply for M.Sc in horticulture and change your line of study. Moreover, if you have relevant work experience, it would help you achieve your goal of doing/studying an M.Sc. M.Sc eligibility varies for different colleges and you should be able to check the eligibility of your targetted institute.
