I hav done PGDBM(AICTE).I want to go for UGC NET but PGDBM is not eligible for UGC NET.what alternative left fore 4 enter education sector

29 year old, I have 4.5 year corporate exp. now want to enter into academic through UGC NET,for govt. college , institute as Asst. Professor.but PGDBM (AICTE)not eligible for UGC NET . should i go for Phd/Mphil kindly provide best way to get into academic as Asst.Professor.
