  • A disability of ten percent can place you in the category of Persons with Disabilities (PwD).

Any disability that falls within this category needs to be specified by a recognised medical authority, as well as an eligibility percentage for that specific organisation or exam. Generally, a candidate having 40% or more disability will be given additional benefit like reservation and soft criteria.

A candidate, even having a minor disability, should hold a valid disability certificate, as many institutions and exams have their own percentage threshold related to the PwD classification.
