Its very nice to see your enthusiasm for pursuing post graduation in another subject. But if i may suggest, can you try for doctorate in English? Perhaps it will give you more stronger academic hold. If not doctorate at least M.Phil you attempt rather than PG in another subject. If you are interested in teaching profession then perhaps you should think of NET or SET. Yes you are eligible to apply. But I suggest that you apply as soon as possible through online method.
