50 marks in 10th will surely create some problems for you. But the companies will ask for recent qualification and the scores, so your B.Tech score as well as your 12th score will be asked. I don't think there will be any ussie but try to score better in your graduation so that you can get a good placement.

Yes, you can only if you maintain your CGPA by 6.5-7 in your B.Tech. Campus placements doesn't depend on your class 10th or class 12th marks, but on your performance in your current qualification.

    hi,

Yes, you can take part in campus placement drives, but eligibility depends on the specific company's criteria. Many companies visiting campuses require consistent academic performance, often setting minimum marks like 60% in 10th, 12th, and graduation. With 52% in 10th, you may not be eligible for some top-tier companies, but many others, especially startups, mid-sized firms, or non-technical roles, have more flexible requirements. Additionally, strong communication skills, technical knowledge, internships, and project work can improve your chances. It's also helpful to actively participate in training and placement cell activities

Normally the companies put 60% in 10+2 as a threshold.
So you can very well sit in campus placements, but you will need to work hard to maintain good CGPA in B.tech because it is also one of the high priority criteria for may companies. All companies have different criteria and skill set requirements.

Being LPU alumni, i would suggest to work hard to get good score in your higher studies that is B.Tech, maintain a good CGPA. When companies are visiting LPU for campus placements, they have their criteria's which should be fulfilled by a candidate for selection. There are lot of companies such as TCS, Wipro, Microsoft, BOSCH, Jindal Steel and Siemens who are allowing all the students of campus without any marks or CGPA criteria.

Yes, it should not be hard for you to get admission to the University of Western Australia as an Indian student with 50% in class 12th. However, please note that it does not put you in the top applicants either. The general admission percentage requirement for international students is 50 to 65%.

Look at the other admission requirements -

  • English proficiency tests with IELTS (bands 6.5) or TOEFL iBT (82+)
  • High school Diploma from a recognised board like CBSE or ICSE etc.
  • Some course-specific subjects for Engineering programs

Top universities require a minimum of 80-90% in your 12th-grade board exams.

  • Average universities often accept students with 60-75%.
  • For highly competitive courses like Medicine, cut off is usually higher.
  • Strong SAT/ACT scores can also compensate for a slightly lower board percentage.
