I have 8 years exp in financial content writing. I am willing to change my career to SAS. Is it a good option & will i get jobs?

I have completed MBA Financial Management. Currently working as Associate Editor for a financial web site. I am willing to change my career, earlier i had interest in programming. Thought of doing SAS, but don't know if it has scope and if i get job. Any suggestions?
