I have 9512 rank in IIT ADVANCED 2022. Should I take electrical, which is considered the toughest or mechanical in a much better IIT?

Will I still get time to learn coding and will the companies allow me to seat in their interviews even if I'm proficient?

You should take electrical in IITs as there are many companies which are opened only for circuital branches.

You should prefer older IITs because of better placement stats and alumni network.
