Candidates securing a rank between 7500- 27500 are eligible for admissions in Vellore campus. The closing rank for Computer Science and Engineering (with Bioinformatics as specialisation) went up till 7500 while for Computer Science and Engineering, it went up till 15000. As per the discussion with a current student of VIT, the general cutoff for VIT Chennai campus is given below:
CSE cutoff was around 8,000 rank
CSE with specialisation in Bio was around 12,000
IT cutoff was around 9,000 rank
