    Hi,
Yes, you can apply. Your IELTS is slightly low, but universities may accept or offer you a pathway programme in English. Advised to communicate with the universities, before applying and confirm the IELTS status.

This depends on the university you are applying for. If the university has mandated giving IELTS score, then you need to appear for the examination, and give your test score. The minimum IELTS score varies from 5.5 to 7. IELTS is commonly accepted English language proficiency test accepted globally. But universities give you several alternatives to IELTS to study in Dubai. Hence, look for the university that fits you best, and does not require an IELTS score to process your application. Some universities also have their own interview, or assessment to judge your English proficiency.

An IELTS examination is divided into four parts which are reading, writing, speaking, and listening. All four parts of the exam might be difficult for non-English speaking audience. But it is believed that the writing part is the hardest since the examiners will check for grammar, syntax, coherence, and vocabulary.

Also, the examinee will get only 60 minutes to complete the writing test which is a data interpretation, and writing an essay. This can be tough, causing pressure, and nervousness. But the key is to be confident while giving this exam, and having enough preparation.
