I have cleared Kerala Hindi Prachar Sabha Hindi Bhooshan exam. Can I appear for KTET Hindi exam?

Yes, the KTET 2025 exam has been postponed by the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan. The KTET May 2025 session exam was set to take place on May 29 and 30, 2025. However, the exam has been postponed. The KTET new exam date 2025 will be announced shortly, as per the official statement on the exam website. 

The benefit of clearing the KTET exam is that it makes candidates eligible to apply for teacher recruitment drive in the Kerala schools for Lower Primary, Upper Primary and High School teachers posts. The exam is conducted for four categories – Category 1 (Classes 1 to 5), Category 2 (Classes 6 to 8), Category 3 (Classes 9 & 10) and Category 4 (Classes 11 & 12). It is a state-level recognition exam that allows aspiring candidates to fetch teaching jobs in government and aided schools in Kerala.

The pass mark for KTET 2025 exam differ for reserved and unreserved category candidates. Have a look at the KTET passing marks below:

• For General and OBC: 60 per cent marks (90 marks out of 150)
• For SC/ ST: 55 per cent marks (82 marks out of 150)

The KTET is a state-level exam conducted every year to evaluate the quality of candidates who aspire to become teachers in Lower Primary, Upper Primary and High Schools in Kerala. The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan conducts the Kerala TET exam twice in a year to determine the eligibility of candidates as teachers.
