I have completed 3years of Diploma and want to continue my education in correspondence which sem will I be placed in.

Correspondence or distance BE/B.Tech are not valid as per AICTE guidelines. Hence never be pursue. BE/B.Tech lateral or part-time with AICTE approved Institutes are the best available options. AMIE is another good option if you can pursue it.
