I have completed B.Tech in mechanical engineering and want to do MS in the same abroad but have a backlog. Will I be facing any issues?

if you have backlog then you can not say you have become an engineer. This aspect will always be referred to whenever you attempt for PG. So don't worry about this and go ahead.
