I have completed Diploma in mechanical & am interested in marine engineering, what should I do?

You can apply for Common entrance test (CET) of Indian Maritime University (IMU). The IMU offers B.Tech Maine engineering 4-years programme at Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai campus. The eligibility criteria is as under. Eligibility for 2nd year Lateral Entry :- Candidates with at least 55% marks overall in: 3-years Diploma in Marine/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering or 4-years Diploma in Shipbuilding Engineering from any Institute approved by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education And a minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th/12th/Diploma Examination. The candidate should have completed the Diploma within its stipulated duration of 3 years. The important information :- Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply for these programmes. Candidates seeking admissions to Marine Programmes are strongly recommended to have Passport. Please note that the name in the Passport should be the same as given in the 10th standard Certificate.
