As you have completed M.Com and ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India), it is up to you whether you want to appear for the National Eligibility Test (NET) exam or not. Qualifying the NET exam is one of the eligibility criteria for the appointment of Assistant Professor in colleges and universities and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). Post graduation is the basic eligibility criteria for NET. No other certification is required. You can appear for NET.

The NET exam is the national level exam which makes you eligible for the assistant lectureship and junior research fellowship award.
