I have completed M.Sc in geoinformatics, in which subject am I eligible to appear for? Can I appear for both UGC / CSIR or not?

Yes, you can apply for both UGC NET and CSIR NET exam. As your post graduation subject Geoinformatics is related to the Geography and Earth Science, so you can appear for UGC NET with Geography subject and CSIR NET Earth Science exam. To apply for the exams you have to fulfill the eligibility criteria. You should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in M.Sc. If you want to appear for JRF exam then you have to also follow age criteria I. e. For CSIR NET - 28 years (Maximum Age)
For UGC NET 30 Years (Maximum Age)

You are definitely eligible to appear in the UGC CSIR NET Exam to be conducted in Dec 2018. The Eligibility criteria for the CSIR UGC NET is, Candidate must complete post-graduation with at least 55% marks. For Reserved candidates the criteria is 50% marks. There is no age limit to appear in the UGC NET Exam but to avail the Scholarships worth INR 25,000 per month you must not be beyond the age limit of 28 years. (5 years more for the reserved and female candidates).
