I have completed my 12th in non medical & also cleared JEE. Can I opt biotechnology?

Yes, you can take admission.
You will be taught from the basics about it. -

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech Biotechnology is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics(P), Chemistry(C), English(E) and Mathematics (M)or Biology (BIO)or Biotechnology(BIOTECH) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST or JEE Main OR In case marks scored in 10+2 are 90% or above, then LPUNEST or JEE Main will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission. No, now you cannot select Bio as a stream you have to continue your career with non-medical field.
