Dear Chetan, Animation & Gaming is a complex mix of software, logic & laws of Physics. Even as a mechanical engineer, you have studied C+, DotNet/JAVA and CAD/CAM in basic form. If you have aptitude and patience to learn further, I don't see why you can't succeed. Go ahead.
