    Since this GME course needs to be done at a specific institution, the eligibility will also be contingent on the programme requirements of that institution.

     Generally, GME is meant for students who have graduated with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or in a related branch. Since you are pursuing a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, generally, you would be eligible for GME courses, which are meant for candidates who would like to specialize in mechanical engineering at a graduate level.
