I have completed my M.Tech in ECE. Am I eligible for UGC NET exam?

What subjects do I have to choose? can I choose other subjects also?

    The UGC NET exam is a national eligibility test which is conducted for the determination of the candidates for assistant professor and junior research fellowship.
    Yes, you are eligible for the UGC NET exam. The minimum eligibility criteria for the exam is a Master's degree.
    The eligibility criteria are as follows:
    Educational qualification: The candidates must have the post graduation degree with minimum 55% marks from the recognised university.
    Age limit: The candidates must be below 30 years old for the JRF while there is no age limit for the assistant professor.

    Hello Brahmmala, As per the NTA guidelines candidates who have completed their Masters degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks (for General) or 50% aggregate marks (for OBC/SC/ST/PwD) or are in the qualifying year can apply for the UGC NET exam. UGC NET exam is conducted in 81 subjects. Candidates can apply for the UGC NET exam with their post graduation subject or related to that. So, as you have completed M.Tech in Electronics, you appear for the UGC NET Electronic Science exam. Recently, UGC NET application process is going on.     Yes, you are eligible to appear for the UGC NET Exam. As you said that you have completed your M.Tech in ECE, so you can choose any relevant subject. Along with this, you must fulfill other eligibility criteria like:
    1) Required minimum 55% (for general category) in your Master's.
    2) Your age must not be more than 30 years, if you are applying for JRF. If you are going for Lectureship, then there are no age criteria.
