    If you have Ph.D. in pure mathematics, then you will be able to easily get a job in academics in any good institute/university of your choice. You will be one amongst an increasingly rare species of people carrying out pure mathematics research in India. Most of the people carry out research in applied mathematics, that is, they use the mathematics to study problems in computers/ mechanics/ physics/ economics/ socio-economics, etc.
