I have done 16 questions in Mains, so should I start for advance or look for a drop?

As you told you attempted 16 questions let us suppose that all of those were correct then your marks will be around 16*4= 64 which will hardly give you 65-70 percentile depending on the difficulty level of paper. So, I would suggest that you should work more hard. And if you only want to get admission in NIT, iiit, IIT then yes you should take a drop. But there are also many good private colleges for which entrance exams is held.
