i have done a cource in plcs and scada but i didnt find scopes can u suggest me something

i have comleted my b.tech(ece) in the year 2009, Is industrial automation a good field?? i want to be in programming of plcs and also im working on GIS presently can u also please suggest me about GIS scopes in market. if not other than all this what should be a good to opt for...thanxs
