I have done B.Ed and completed my post graduation in MA. Am I eligible for NET exam and asst. professor posts?

Yes, you are eligible for the NET examination as per the qualification. The eligibility criteria for the National Eligibility Test is post graduation degree with minimum 55% marks from any recognized university or institutes of India. As you are post graduated in MA, you can appear for the NET exam.

B.Ed is not necessary for your NET exam. But if you have completed your MA, you are eligible for NET. After clearing your NET, you will be eligible for assistant lecturer in a college.
