I have done B.tech in IT.I would like to know the scope of CCNA. Is it a viable career option? What are the job prospects in this field?

It is a viable career option. There are very good job prospects in networking. In this modern world need for computing and hence networking of computers is continuously growing. Therefore there are ample oppurtunities in this field.

CCNA is the starting step towards Networking line for more enhancement u must have to some more Certifications.
