Well, learning German is not essential but you will face prb without knowing German.If you are intending to find a job after studies I'll suggest you to learn German.

Dear Kiran, Learning german is not essential to pursue further qualification from germany. Only you need to give Entrance Exam like GRE/TOEFL to get admission into good universities.
