    Yes, after completing your 12th grade with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), you can apply for lateral entry and be admitted straight into the second year of a Polytechnic study. This option is available in the majority of Indian states, including Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and Karnataka. Usually, passing the 12th grade with PCM or finishing an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) course are prerequisites.
