Admission Process:
The process of admission to Master of Design is through an entrance examination. This is known as Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED), it is conducted by IIT Mumbai every year. IIT Bombay will not conduct any Joint Counseling for CEED 2026. Instead, the participating colleges will conduct the counseling at an institute level. The candidate will have to go to the admission portal of the institute and fill in the counseling registration form. The counseling admission portal will have all the relevant details pertaining to the admission process, seat matrix, eligibility, etc.
The participating institutes of CEED 2026 are colleges that will offer admission to the M.Des and PhD courses solely on the basis of CEED 2026 scores. These institutes not consider scores of other entrance exams, like NIFT and NID DAT, for admission purposes. The list of CEED 2026 participating institutes will be published on the admission portal - ceed.iitb.ac.in.
The online application form for admission to CEED participating institutes will open tentatively in the last week of September 2024. Note that unlike UCEED 2026, IIT Bombay will not conduct any Joint Seat Allotment process for CEED 2026.
