I have done diploma in civil engineering and now i am changing my trade to computer science,is it good for me or bad!

Dear Cosmo, Yes, BTech in CSE is really a good option as per the market standard. I have no idea about the B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Lateral Entry) at Heritage Institute of Technology but being alumni of LPU, I can share the details of the same programme with you at LPU. Good Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. in which they are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. per annum by Microsoft. LPU has a very good placement and achieved awards for employability also. The main thing for placement that I liked there is that LPU provides placement classes to the students from the first year, which helps students prepare for placement until their final year of the program. Scholarships: LPU provides scholarships to bright students every year worth crore rupees to all the students based on their academics, extracurricular activities, and other factors. Tie-ups: B.Tech in CSE has tie-ups with industries that help students to explore themselves more in their field such as IBM, Intel, Xebia, Upgrad, etc. Specializations: CSE students get many specializations while studying CSE to enhance their knowledge according to their interests such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Data Science, etc. Apart from this, many opportunities and scholarships are there in LPU while studying for bright students in academics and extracurricular activities. I don't see any issue in it subject to your incline towards CSE. You need to explore different career verticals and focus on the aided technology being much in demand for CSE. Keep yourself abreast and you can do wonders. All the best.
