I have done diploma in M.E.and i want to take admission in 2nd year of BTech through lateral entry with C.S.E. is it a good decision or not?

Should I switch to Computer Science or stick to Mechanical Engineering. Does it affect in interviews?

    First of all, it totally depends on your interest, in which field you want to pursue your career. Computer Science Engineering is the fastest-growing field of Science. Everybody knows that we cannot live without mobile phones and computers. Computer Science engineers are the highest-paid engineers in the world. And this field provides an abundance of job opportunities with very high pay packages ranging from 6 LPA to 2 LPA. But Computer Science Engineering demands a tricky mind for coding.     Keeping the placement opportunities of B.Tech CSE in consideration, The B.Tech CSE lateral can be the good decision if you are getting. Further your Diploma Mechanical background will not affect in placements after B.Tech CSE.
