I have done M.Sc through distance, am I eligible to apply for NET?

    UGC NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) is an entrance exam through which candidates are awarded for lectureship and for junior research fellowship. For appearing in UGC NET Exam, candidate should have to complete their post-graduation or should be appearing in final year of their Masters degree. CBSE has announced the notification for conducting UGC NET 2018 Examination. As per the schedule, the exam will be conducted on 8 July 2018.

    Hi,
    Yes, you are eligible to take your NET Exam. Your master's degree is only needed for applying in UGC NET Exam. Other than your post graduation degree, you also have to fulfill other eligibility criteria like :
    - You must have scored at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST, OBC- NCL, PwD) in Masters Degree. - Your age must not be more than 28 years (If you are applying for Junior Research Fellowship). - If you are applying for Lectureship, then there is no upper age limit.
    UGC also provides fellowship as well as an honorable certificate to its top scorers.
    So, prepare well.

    Yes, you are definitely eligible to apply for the National Eligibility test after completing the Masters from distance programme.

    According to my views and experience, for applying in that you have to fulfill the minimum criteria of that and the minimum criteria for the net is post-graduation, whether it is through regular or distance. So, you can surely fill the form of NET.

    Dear aspirant, Yes, a candidate who has M.Sc. A degree from distance education is applicable to apply for the UGC NET exam. The aspirant needs to follow all basic requirements of the exam. Candidates should have minimum of 55% aggregate marks (for General) or 50% aggregate marks (for OBC/SC/ST/PwD) in post-graduation. Hope it helps.

    Yes, you are eligible, no matter where you have done your M.Sc. , the only thing is required that you must hold a post-graduation degree.

    Yes distance courses from recognised university are accepted
    Candidates securing at least 55% marks in their Master's Degree or equivalent from a recognised university in Humanities (including languages), Social Science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science, etc. Are eligible to appear for the UGC NET exam conducted by NTA.
