I have done Masters in library science. Am I eligible to appear for NET exam?

I also opted for Hindi language.

    Yes, you can apply for NET Exam. The minimum qualification required to apply for this exam is post-graduation with 55% or 50% (based on your category in which you belong). So, before you apply, check your eligibility. You must have remembered that your age should not be more than 30 years for the JRF. And, if you are applying for lectureship then there is no upper age limit.

    Yes admit you are eligible
    Candidates securing at least 55% marks in their Master's Degree or equivalent from a recognised university in Humanities (including languages), Social Science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science, etc. Are eligible to appear for the UGC NET exam conducted by NTA.

    Hello Admit, as you have completed your Masters in library Science you appear for the UGC NET Exam under Library & Information Services. Just qualifying the Post-Graduation is not enough you must fulfil the eligibility criteria under NTA:
    1. The minimum age required is 30 years (general category), 33years LL. M. graduates), 35 years (SC/S/OBC/ Transgender/Female candidates). There is no age limit for the post of an Assistant Professor.
    2. The minimum educational qualification requirement is that a candidate have completed their Post-Graduation with the minimum 55% (General category) or 50% (SC/ST/OBC/Transgender). .

    Hello Admit,
    Yes, you are eligible for the NET exam. As CSIR NET is for the science stream students only, you can appear for UGC NET Exam. But make sure before applying for the exam that you should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in Master's degree if you are from the general category or scored 50% aggregate marks if you are from OBC/SC/ST/PwD category.

    Yes, you are eligible for the NET Exam.
    The Net exam is conducted for the assistant professor and junior research fellowship. The candidates who will clear the UGC NET successfully will be eligible to apply for the vacancy in any institute or university or for research or developments in national universities or laboratories.
    The eligibility criteria for UGC NET is the post-graduation degree with minimum 55% marks from recognized university.
    The age limit for the exam is 30 years for the JRF award while no age bar for the assistant professor post.
