I have done MCA from SMU distance education mode(SMUDE)..Now i want to appear in UGC-NET exam is SMU DISTANCE MODE is recognized by UGC Am i eligible for UGC NET EXAM..bcoz SMU is recognised by UGC but confused that SMU DISTANCE MODE IS RECOGNISED BY UGC or not..PLZ HELP ME OUT

Hi, No worries even if you have a Distance Masters Degree as that would not at all hamper your desire to be a lecturer.
The essential educational requirements for this post are –
The candidate should be a Graduate in the subject to which he/she is applying with around a minimum of 55% of marks in the exam.
The candidates can also have a Masters Degree in the same subject which will be an added advantage from any recognized university or college.
Further to this, the candidate should also have passed the eligibility test for Lectureship conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar tests accredited by the UGC.
