I have done my 12th. Can someone brief me about mechanical engineering?

I have heard a lot of people saying that it is a useless field with no job opportunities.

    It's not true. It depends from which college you pursue your engineering. If you graduate from IIT NIT you won't ever regret of taking mechanical. But if you do from private, I am not sure what can be the condition. But still hard work matters. You can even go for PSUs through GATE. Their pay is much higher.
