I have done my B.Sc chemistry. I am thinking of choosing petroleum technology in M.Sc. Will it be good and would I require deep math skills?

Yes, it doesn't require deep math skills but you should be strong at basic math like Algebra Trigonometry Calculus (Limits, differentials and Integrals Matrices and Functions.
