5 years agoHello Pranit Dhavale, You have completed your Diploma in mechanical engineering and are now seeking lateral admission in Marine Engineering. Correct? Yes, you indeed can get admission in lateral mode in Marine Engineering directly into the second year of four year degree course based on your Diploma in mechanical engineering. However you need to clear other criteria relevant to the college that you have selected and will have to appear for some exam if the college is demanding it. Best wishes to you. -
Yes, you are eligible if meeting the below criteria for 4-year B.Tech (Marine Engineering) programme at IMU campuses located at Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai locations. There is Lateral Entry into 2nd year of B.Tech (Marine Engineering). Candidates with Diploma in Marine /Mechanical Engineering with at least 55% marks overall are eligible to apply for Lateral Entry. The applications for this will be invited separately by the respective IMU Campuses/ Affiliated Institutes.
