i have done my masters in social work and now wish to do a specialisation in psychotherapy i would like to know what is the scope in india?
i would also like to know the names of good universities both abroad and in india from where i could take up the specialisation. i would also like to know which country is better to study this course

Good Morning Pratiksha, Nice to know that ypou are interested in doing masters in psychotherapy. Since your masters is in social work there are chances that you can go for that and Tamil Nadu Open University , Annasalai offers M.Sc in Psychotherapy. For more details, log on to www.tnou.ac.in. If you want to do a Masters programme in Psychotherapy, firstly, it would be difficult to find Institutes in India providing this specialization, so you have to go for Psychology Course. Secondly, to a course related to Psychology you need to have a strong background in the same. So

Hi Pratiksha, if you would like to pursue this course in UK and practise in India, then may I suggest you to pursue the course in India itself. Pursuing Psychotherapy in the UK will require you to have registration and only then you can pursue this course.
