I have finished my B.Tech. I'm confused whether to do MBA or M.Tech?

I already have a job.

    For engineers, MBA works in three ways;-
    1. As a fresher without any job experience, if one does MBA, he will never work in engineering field.
    2. With work experience of 10+ years, it provides scope for departmental promotions to positions like GM, Vice President etc.
    3. With work experience of 2+ years, it gives you launch pad in engineering field it self like project co-ordination, tender process for new contracts, green field projects, abroad tenures, merger & acquisitions etc.

    Better you make the decsion based on your interest - whether it is towards a managerial career or a technical one. If you really like technology, you can build a great career through M.Tech.
    MBA, unless done from a good institute, will fetch the same monetary returns.

    hi.
    You need to select the course based on your interest and also job profile you would like to do .
    M.Tech - if you are good in technical line of study and if you wish a career working on engg projects, research, design etc.,You can also go in for teaching profession after MTech.
    MBA - if you wish to handle management work, doing strategy and planning in areas viz., marketing, sales, finance, operations etc., of a business.
    to pursue MTech you need to appear for the entrance exam like GATE
    if you want to do MBA then there are various entrance exams like CAT, XAT, MAT which

    If you feel you are technically sound then M Tech will be your first priority. But if you feel you can be a better manager and have the required skills, then you may prefer an MBA which will be your gateway to the corporate world.
