i have finished my diploma in 2000 in automobile trade, i would like to join for btech mech trade considering future plans. is it possible

You can join B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering as a lateral entry candidate since you have completed diploma in automobile engineering. Please note, the word trade applies for ITI courses only.
