You cannot do B.Tech through distance education because Supreme Court of India has banned distance education in engineering. -

If someone has done a diploma, then he or she can get direct admission in the 2nd year of B.Tech. It is known as lateral entry course. Universities like JNU, Lovely Professional University, Anna University, etc. provide lateral entry programmes for diploma holders. So, you can check the other information related to it on the official website of these universities.
