Since your average marks are on the lesser side as of now, I would suggest that you complete your engineering from a college in India itself and then go to USA for higher course such as M.Tech. While in B.Tech / B.E. you must try to improve your percentage and in the meantine also speak to students who have ventured out for post graduate studies & contact outside universities through e-mail. By doing engg form India, you will have time to think, plan and make a strategy for higher studies abroad.

    Hi,
Every university has its own course specific eligibility criteria for admission, in order to know the exact eligibility criteria it would be always advisable to browse through the university's website you wish to apply.
Overall, in order to pursue MS degree from universities in US, you need to have:
    - Good academic record, preferably 60%-70% plus in graduation.
    - Relevant undergraduate degree from recognized university.
    - GRE score of 300-320 plus.
    - TOEFL score of 80-90 plus.
An average tuition fee of a US university is about US$ 30,000 per-year and average living expenses are about US$ 10,000 per-year, the tuition fee and living expense
