Dear Vandana, First thing, UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission. It conducts various exams and the min. Eligibility of them is graduation. There are many courses that you can opt for after 12th. B.Tech and MBBS are all-time favourites but then life doesn't stop here only. You have various other good options available. If you are interested in pursuing a course in Science you can go for various B.Sc. Like Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Maths etc. Other than these you have specialised ones like Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Forensic, Agriculture, Food Technology, Computer Science, etc. Apart from these you have honours courses too. You can also go for paramedical courses like Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Ayurveda, etc. Other than Science stream, you can have a career in Journalism, Film and TV production, Management, Hotel Management, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Physical Education, Yoga, etc. Too. There are many reputed universities like Lovely Professional University, SRM University, Manipal University, etc., are offering a wide variety of courses to choose from. Hello, Yes, you are eligible to take UPSC exam but you have to follow some more criteria that you must be a citizen of India or Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan. You should be at least 21 years and maximum 32 years old when you are appearing for the exam. All the best.

For the IRS and other services, a candidate must be one of the following: A citizen of India *a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India Educational Qualification: Here you can get details like Qualification for IAS IFS & IPS from below. All candidates must have as a minimum one of the following educational qualifications: *A degree from a Central, State or Deemed university *A degree received through correspondence or distance education *A degree from an open university *A qualification recognised by the Government of India as being equivalent to one of the above Age Limit: *A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on August 1 of the year of examination.
