I have got 79 percentile in CAT. Do I have any chance to get selected for the GD/PI?

Yes, you have chance for PGDM IB & FM programme. Last year PGDM CAT Cut-off was 85.25. -
Last year's cut offs for CAT were 85.20, 78.03 and 74 for PGDM, PGDM-IB and PGDM-FM respectively. XAT cut off was 85.25 for PGDM, 80.20 for PGDM-IB and 74 for PGDM-FM.
Based on this you have average chance of getting call for IB program. -

6 years agoWell, last year, the calls for GD PI was above 85%ile. So, I think, you have less chances of getting a call however, they might call you as well if the number of students applying has a lesser overall percentile. Hope for the best, but with this percentile do apply to other colleges as well like TAPMI, IMI, IISWBM, XIME, BIMM. CAT is one of the accepting exams required for admission to PGDM programme. However, it is not compulsory. Aspirants with a valid score in any other accepted entrance exams such as MAT, XAT or CMAT can also get admission in PGDM. The CUSAT CAT passing marks for the BTech exam is 10 marks in maths and 10 marks in physics and chemistry combined. However, Kerala SC and ST candidates do not have a minimum passing mark.
