I have got 82 marks in 12th Science. But my father is a farmer. So how can I study further?

Hello Rajendra, Every state government has different norms and rules regarding providing scholarships to weaker sections of the society. For reference the Madhya Pradesh government gives at present, provides scholarship to SC/ ST students equal to fees charged by government colleges for engineering, medical and other courses. The scholarship amount is less than the actual fee, particularly in case of private engineering and medical colleges. For instance, fee in government run autonomous college is around Rs 28,000 per year; it is almost double in private engineering colleges. In case of medical courses, fees of private medical college are much higher than that of government medical colleges. This year, MBBS fee in private colleges in Madhya Pradesh is Rs 3.75 LPA. The state government that had launched a scheme to provide guarantee for education loan is now considering full reimbursement of fee for SC/ ST students. The financial burden of which will be shifted to the center under post- matric scholarship. The proposal was discussed in detail by officers of tribal welfare and finance departments. It is likely to get the nod from the Cabinet in current month, said tribal department sources. Benefits of private colleges: A long with providing direct benefit to students of reserved category and weaker section, the government’s decision will give boost to private education colleges which are struggling to get students even on minimum fee. This will certainly be a boost for the private professional colleges because many private colleges provide admission to ST/ SC students by charging fee equal to their scholarship, said sources.
