I have got a backlog in BE Computer 2011. Can i give GATE 2012 . will get revaluation result in dec 2011 .

    The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear for GATE 2012:
    Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final year of such programmes.Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture (Post-B.Sc./Post-Diploma) and those who are in the final year of such programmes.Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programmes.Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.)

    You can write GATe, but you will be granted admission to a PG programme on the basis of your GATE score only if you show that you have completely passed your BE programme.

    Hi Manpreet,
    Although, you can appear for GATE even with backlog, but you have to score really high to cover up for your backlog, as backlog can create a problem for you at the time of admission, so if you score exceptionally well in GATE the admission in M.Tech programmes would be easier.
