I have got admission in agriculture B.Sc in LPU which is only having UGC recognition. Will I face any problems in getting a government job?

LPU Becomes the First Private University to be Granted ICAR Accreditation. In addition to the regular course work, especially designed practical courses like Hands on training, Practical crop production, Rural and Agriculture Work Experience (RAWE), Nursery raising for horticulture crops, Crop And SEED Identification Laboratory, Soil And Water Sampling And Analysis, Soil Description And Interpretation Discipline Highlights: Agriculture laboratory, Organic And Chemical Fertilizer, Manure Identification And Application Laboratory, Introductory Nematology, Disease Of Horticultural Crops And Their Management, Practical Floriculture And Vegetable Crop Production Laboratory, Bio-Safety Rules And Intellectual Property Rights are offered to promote practical implication of various courses which train students for industry. Students are exposed to Commercial farms (100 acres) to know-how that create an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills. They were also engaged in complete cultivation practice of seasonal crops for 6 months, wherein land preparation till harvesting and marketing of the final products will be done by student to expose farming experience. Profit earned by selling solely shared by students of a group. The highest numbers of PhDs as faculty members are enrolled in School of Agriculture faculty members throughout the LPU university. These experienced faculty members mostly engaged in consultancy, research and publication to add immense value to the academic life. More than 44, 46 and 43 renowned firms and industries are on board for on campus and off campus drive in 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21 respectively. Around 90% of the students getting placed every year. Among the drive conducted the major associates were with Syngenta pvt. Lmt. , Tata Rallis India, Bioseed, Emami, GSR, IFFCO, Dhanuka, ITC, Relience Agr. Retail, Uniborn, HDFC Bank, Intellow lab, WIPRO, with maximum package offer of 5.68 Lacs. Every year &get;50 students joining in Syngenta RISQ project for research with good stipend. Students are getting an opportunity to go on programme exchange in foreign universities every year Thanks.

Madhushekhar, you will face no problem in getting govt. job. ICAR is under process. ICAR approval is a govt. process and concerned body will take their own time however we have initiated process after successful pass out of first batch B.Sc.(Hons) Agriculture (in May 2015) as per ICAR guidelines.Furthermore, ICAR is an accreditation body not a regulatory body as in case of MBBS (Medical council of India) and B.V.Sc.(Veterinary council of India) which accredit our program and advise changes (if any needed) to run the program whereas no permission is required from ICAR for such programs.At the same time, number of students from first batch have qualified for JRF test (conducted by ICAR) and cleared with merit positions. Thereby availing ICAR awarded scholarship for doing M.Sc. in various branches of Agriculture namely Plant breeding, Vegetable science., Entomology, Agricultural statistics etc. in top agricultural universities by Govt. of India. Some of these first batch students are also pursuing their M.Sc. in various state agricultural universities (Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore; Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana, Haryana Agricultural University, Hissar; Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur; sher e kashmir university of agricultural sciences and technology, Jammu; Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur etc. on scholarships (as cleared with merit positions) as discussed above.Similarly, a few students have also been working with various private industries like TATA Rallis India, Zenesis Agroscience And Consulting Pvt. Ltd, Omics Group etc. where placement has been done either in campus or through joint campus drives.Since our students are accepted by ICAR funded state agricultural universities as well as by ICAR for scholarships, so there is no question about validity of degree. But it will be difficult to give time frame at this moment for approval.

Yes, LPU is the best university in terms of placement.
